Date, you can find some scrap infos on Nakasonedevil's "Do you think anyone is stronger than Tadakatsu Honda" forum. In there, there were some of the brief infos disscussion about Keiji Maeda, as well as his little bio. (I'm also inside that forum as well)

There's not much on the man. Generally, you can know that he was pretty large for a Japanese man at the time, he first served the Oda in some capacity, later served Uesugi Kagekatsu, and that he fought at Aizu with distinction against the Mogami.

Maeda Keiji = nothing but Koei hype and a historical document describing a trip he went on. In other words, Keiji = LAME.

I wouldn't dare go that far. You don't give KoeiCORP any credit, Koei had to research on every single person from the Warring States period. Then, pick out people had a good amount of influence as playable cahracters in the games.

I just discovered this board so I'm fairly happy.

Keiji Meada, also know as Keijiro, and Toshimasu. I am doing this in no particular order, other than paragraph

Matzukaze-Basically Keiji was huge, few horses could carry his frame. It's said he found an untamed horse that no one could break, He took it and managed to break the horse, and no one knows how. The horse became known legendary as "Matsukaze", and could carry Keiji all day quite comfortably, but wouldn't let any one else ride it.

Oda service- The clan was basically under Nobunaga's rule. Keiji should have become clan head, but Nobunaga set his uncle Toshii up for it. Keiji really disliked his uncle after this(Never really got along in the first place, Keiji was known as a prankster, and once filled his uncle's bath with Ice-water) and left the Oda. He lived in Kyoto after this, and enjoyed music and the arts. During this he became buddy to the General Katasugu Naoe, and occasionally took Katasugu's  military request. He was know as rambunctious in the ranks, so sometimes the Uesugi refused his help, and banned him from a few campaigns. One campaign though he was widely recognized for was a failed one. The army was retreating, and Keiji was in the rearguard. He had a 2-pronged spear, and basically slaughtered anything that went near him. This scared the enemy off, and the Uesugi escaped in peace. Keiji's greatest achievement military wise was during on of the Uesugi campaigns. He took the vanguard with 8 other horseman charged the enemy, and broke the entire army formation. I believe all 9 riders survived. So his life was basically: Art, Pranks, and War.

That's all I know, correct me where I'm wrong.
