try ebay, i bought it a month before it came out only to find the guy didnt have it lol (i thought he mighta bought it from outta the EU, i thot it was out elsewhere)... but obv i didnt get it, and im still waiting on a refund Shocked:o

this is why i dont trust eBay anymore, nor should anyone else. Theres to much f%$k around. People puttin in steep shipping costs, taking forever to send you the product, etc.

Id like to be able to just download it from direct 2 drive but for some reason thats not allowed  Sad

Is there ever going to be an "off-the-shelf" version of this game available in the U.S.?  I would love to buy it for my brother for Christmas.

Only way to get it boxed is to get the UK version.  I really doubt Koei is going to bother making a US boxed version.  Maybe we'll see one for RTK XII if this one does well in sales.

Is there any reason why myself as an Australian cant download this game?   Does Koei hate everyone except Brazil and the US or something ?  Undecided

Found it finally at Toyworld (CBD store Brisbane).. they had 2 copies ($58.99 each) and they said they wouldnt order anymore since it not often people buy it =( ... EBgames said they havent stocked it for ages.. basically trying to find this RoTK XI is like trying to find gold  Sad

ps. i couldnt find any online one either or they didnt allow me to download.

I think it's pretty simple, here's an example.

Buying RoTK 11 hard-copy in Britain = £20 - £25 (still fairly cheap compared to alot of games over here.)
Buying a digital copy online = $20 (which is about £10 - £11 pounds last time I checked the exchange rates.)

I wouldnt mind either of those methods, however im in Australia where they apparently aint releasing it physically.

So why not allow downloads then? Or at least tell us how long this embargo on downloads for non americans is going to last?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but if I buy a UK boxed copy of the game to play in the U.S.... are there any potential computer format issues?  Or is a European computer identical to a North American computer in every way?  For example DVD players are non-compatible for the most part - but as far as computers are concerned I should be good to go with a UK version of ROTKXI?

Related to the above question, but more specific:

Is the DVD for this game region-locked? If so, is it locked to the region it is being sold in?

It's not locked in the sense that it wouldn't work on a computer.  Retailers are just not allowed to sell it outside of its region.  That's why people keep mentioning ebay, where small-time businesses can easily get around the region rules.

It is not locked. It is only being distributed in Europe by the wishes of the Koei Corporation. It is not locked so you could have it shipped to you from Europe. But I would chose England it's a good 15 Euro's cheaper. 30 US cheaper if the dollar is still in it's bad shape...

My story, Fallen Kingdoms read it, you'll like it Wink

History is... amazing, but it is also tragic. It is a story of never ending heroism, deceitfulness, wonder, pain, and tragedy. It is an unfinished epic, an unsolved mystery. There is so much we do not know, and there is so much we have yet to learn.

I live in Canada and I was able to order RoTK XI yesterday through an Amazon UK seller named Gamesbuyer_World.  I was pleasantly surprised that they shipped overseas.  Now I'm eagerly waiting for it!
