Hmmm seems like great teamwork between Koei and Microsoft.
Good thing i spended the money on a scrubs season.
Delayed game without any news or information and in the end it doesnt work.

Hmmmm....... Well after all this wait it still doesnt work. Ive tried a lot of different ideas but still nothing. Make sure you send Koei support an email so they cant ignore the problem.

Well, the general thoughts on most of the boards is that this is more MS's fault rather then Koei's. So don't be too evil in your messages to the Support staff

excatly i heard that a lot of the downloads on xbl have been messed up or glitchy so it may not be Koei to blame totally maybe ms just didn't get it together like we thought.

To be honest I found the patch to be suspicious. I was going to re-download the content and then it occurred to me, it would be dumb if it were the content's fault. I imagine the 'patch' is a check for the content, I imagine it -does- work under very specific and obscure conditions like, only on the Microsoft test 360 in the team lounge. This -sucks-, cause I was pretty happy that it -finally- got released and now the patch is fuddled. As long as it gets fixed somewhat promptly(a week) it won't bother me.
I mean as long as the content becomes available and works I'm happy; I think it's just really easy to get upset when they announce content, tell you its going to be there, and then it doesn't arrive for roughly thirty days and finally is unavailable when you try to play it. If they hadn't mentioned the content coming until a week ago, I imagine most players would've been far more understanding.
Also, TALKING TO YOUR FAN BASE OR GIVING THEM GENERAL INFORMATIONAL UPDATES HELPS, HINT HINT, HINT HINT...

I've done the samething my friend, but I didn't buy Scrubs season dvds.
You folks are really making me satisfied about buying my School Rumble dvd instead of points to go towards this. I was so unsure about buying it at first, but after reading your problems I feel quite satisfied with my choice.

This is just a thought, since I have no way to test or see what you all are seeing. This item was paid for and downloaded, simiilar to how demos and marketplace games are downloaded. Even though it requires SW2 to play, the download is still a complete game, so I'm thinking the file is listed on the hard drive; possibly where marketplace games are kept.
I can understand a patch being ready for SW2, but that's not the normal way that downloaded games are played. The patch's purpose may have been to make the download compatible, but not necessarily be the launch of the content.
Has anyone checked for the download in the dashboard, then attempted to start the game from the download, which is the same way you'd load a marketplace game or demo? I'm thinking that if it needs to be loaded that way, it may ask for the game disk sometime afterwards, (since it's been said to be required), if it's not already in the disk drive. Again, I'm just theorizing, and with so many complaints, I suppose someone may have tried this already.
But since there's a possibly that it may not be the case, I'd thought I'd post this info for someone here to at least check into. I guess hoping that this was a simple oversight when many have reported issues, is a bit too hopeful. Still, sending an inquiry as previously stated, appears to be the best option. It's a shame that this has to occur after such a delay.

Yes i have tried hitting play now on the download but it just gives a message saying it must be activated in the game it was downloaded for. Good idea though, but trust me Ive tried everything.

Major Nelson also confirmed on his blog that Microsoft's Marketplace team is also looking into it.
I really hope it doesn't have to go through certification again since that likely means at least another week. Though I would think that certification would have noticed the problem to begin with.

I don't know about you, but I would be happy if it was something that simple. I can deal with waiting a week as long as I know what is going on.

Hopefully you guys who bought it aren't wasting 2400 points because those are nonrefundable. Im not sure why this is a problem though, Oblivion's expansion never had any problems like XL did with SW2.

Actually I'm terribly nervous all of a sudden, it would seem the content has been pulled from the Marketplace. There had DEFINITELY better be a refund if I supposed to re-purchase the content. I -seriously- doubt ANYONE is going to be happy(and likely few will be willing) if they have to buy the content again.
If it was the file and we have to download again, and the original was pulled, it seems to me enough to prepare yourself to call up MS and complain. And -that- is definitely not KOEI's fault.
