SW1: Never played it.
SW2: Mitsunari, for reasons that are unclear to me in retrospect.
SW2XL: Kojiro.  I tried to save him for last, but my discipline faultered.

You really should try SW1. Imo, its better than SW2, and possibly the best SW or DW game you can find, despite the low number of characters and the lack of important stages (*cough*Sekigahara*cough).

Hi guys!
Im a newbie, nice to meet u all.

SW1 Xtreme Legends - Honda Tadakatsu. He looked like a freakin' beast, and I was intrigued to see what he was like after the whole Mikatagahara thing.

Yeah i also think like it, but then SW2(XL) Honda was turn d design/look back to bit... normal beast, i mean human Cheesy.

Samurai Warriors 2 - Fuuma Kotaro, I really liked his design for the game from the moment I'd seen it, and he didn't let me down. Grin

Ninjasss!!
I like very XXX much, but all of them are all short distant/range weapon, i mean they have to approach for combat with other general. So if the difficult is above Hell (dont know in english, may it called CHAOS?) then may have a bit dangerous. ( Why dont have a ninja holding a sword~~~? Tongue)

Yeah yeah i also agree to baby_eater, have a play for SW1.
Although it is not as many general/skill/stage/GIRL as SW2. Bsides, the SW1 soundtrack is a bit SENGOKU MUSOU feeling, i think. Coz all the 1st@2nd ending got the WATER-deep feeling with the soundtrack. For SW2 the soundtrack type is more... blight...got more light? such as SW2 Oichi's Ending. I mean plus some sadly.

Sorry i cant describe the word i want to say~ i'm not well in English Embarrassed

I couldn't agree more. Though a lot of the soundtracks are the same in SW1 and SW2, the ones they did change, they changed for the worst. Especially Yamazaki, which I loved in SW1, I thought it went well with the fog and the caves and the general uncertainty I got when playing the level, while Yamazaki in SW2 sounds like something more suited to s pursuit/escape level

Yeah, it's my meaning, the one Ina SW1 stage 1- Anegawa & Yamazaki's soundtrack was also taken away, just put at the Anegawa & Yamazaki's stage in survival mode.
i mean dont have in story mode.

But SW2 the RESCUE BATTLE soundtrack of Ina stage 1 is ok for me, thankful soundtrack of Osaka stage not change for Ina stage 5, but change the design of place, also for Anegawa & Yamazaki's place. The big big bridge is gone & the yellow flowersss is more far away from the stage. (Such as nonsense u guys may think.)

Lol.

The Osaka music is one of my favourites from the series, I'm glad they haven't changed that. I hate Honnoji music on both games though.

Anyway, back on topic, who was your first character?

Yo, It's right. Even my friend say that that soundtrack so "classic" like some classic GT song even they never have play those game.

Hoho for the stage Honnoji... i hope may it be a bit sad in next SW3? Coz there may be the last place Nobunaga-sama... died.

Sorry lets go back on topic.

Anyway, back on topic, who was your first character?

Ninja!!
(SW1) Hattori Hanzo
(SW2) Fuuma Kotarou
(SW1) Kunoichi / (SW2) Nene

Thought there may have a ninja with sword, but nope~

Sorry im so greedy, I also voted for Nobunaga, Honda & his daughter, Inahime.

Say honestly, since i know SW this game & start to play around 2004, the first CharacterS i being attracted by was Hattori Hanzo & Inahime!!

2 such nonsense reasons,

Hanzo,
I like Ninja since small, i even dont have think got ninja in this kind of Action/Fighting Game, but ninja is of course including to a warrior meaning too.

Inahime,
Man, her face & outlook was look like my lover. & when she equip her 6th weapon was like a Angel. Wing & Feather. My lover dont know yet.

So tis my reason. May u guys laugh haha  laugh

SW: Akechi Mitsuhide or Hattori Hanzo. I honestly cannot remember that clearly but I know it was between those two. Of course at the time I knew nothing about either warrior or the Sengoku period to be quite honest so I went purely on how much their appearances appealed to me.
SWXL: Ina, Pure goddess, lol. On a side note I preferred her story in here much more than in SW2, she was a much more fleshed out character than what she became in SW2 and she had a more original story rather than a carbon copy of some of the other Tokugawa's soldiers.
SW2: Ishida Mitsunari, I liked him in Ominusha and I was interested to see him in SW,

*cough* No Ieyasu even in XL*cough*

Still a good game.

They butchered the following music from SW1 to SW2.

Kawanakajima (theres a difference)
Mikatagahara
Nagashino
Happy Kyoto, not Honnoji music, the other one now used in Tournament of Champions
