My main idea is for it to stay in the Sengoku period. I think Kessen 3 is a brilliant game. The Three Kingdoms era has many franchises already, Dynasty Tactics, ROTK and Dynasty Warriors.

A few more playable forces with the same setting and story as Kessen 3 would be very good in my opininion.

We have made samurai warriors and dynasty warriors why not make a warriors orochi kessen version?

kessen 4 should be the 3 kingdoms stories and Wu should be a playable faction. 
Wu kingdom was the last of the off the three left standing until the jin dynasty conquered them.  I think it should be a story on the arival of the jin dynasty.

off topic i believe you guys should combine your three major platforms into one game.

melee fighting like dynasty warriors
Stratigic planning like kessen 1,2,3 ( place your armies where you like and you have more command over them during a battle.  attempted in dynasty warriors 5 empires just more like in kessen 1,3 where i can position the armies where i want and order them to go where i want them to go)
political ambitions like in romance building a kingdom and culture

empires is a cool mini platform of it but now i think you guys should break out with a full game of your major platforms combined.

My Vision of What Kessen 4 Should be like

Era and Country- Sengoku Period Japan

Gameplay- The Battle Play of Kessen 2 but have the out of battle Gameplay Like Be Able To Customize your Armor  Set up Amushes before Battle Use Formations Choose Which Officer Should Have Which Troop But Have The battles Be Large Scale and Use Skills (No Magic Though Maybe nijutsu or something)

Story and Characters- Kenshin Uesugi (Lord of Second Story Like Cao Cao and Liu Bei) Shingen Takeda (The First Story) Make Like Their Main Retainers Be Like Shingen- Nobufusa Buba And Yukimura Sanada
Kenshin- Kageie Kakizaki And Kanestugu Naoe
Make Them Like Start off bye Deafeating The other Minor lords Like Nobunaga and The Hojo clan and Have Kenshin take The North East and Shingen Take the South West then have them clash at Kawanakajima And Then have them fight The other 4 Battles and The Last one ends the Story I Think it would give some more popularity to the Two Stratigests

i think that they should make a kessen empires based off japan and you should be able to play as any of the rulers in the kessen 3 story.

Koei should consider doing one of the greatest conqueror of all time Genghis Khan.  they should make Kessen 4 based on the life and story of Genghis Khan. of how he came to become known as Genghish Khan and how he mangage to rule such a vast empire. That should be awesome. Koie already made Genghis Khan one for the NES and Genghis Khan 2 for the SNES. and now for the PS2 and PS3
 Kessen 4 story line Genghis Khan......
