I don't mind that there's too many spears... The thing that bugs me, though, is that they all have the same motion!!! 

I'd like to see Ma Chao with a spear again instead of a Broad Sword (which is always reserved for that fellow named Fu Xi  ).

That 6th weapon is one of the crazyest things I've ever heard!
Plus, I don't see the point in playing as the Emperor; only the novelty value of playing as the Emperor, which doesn't appeal to me, sorry.

It'd actually be sorta cool to play as the Emperor. Even if he is typically like..pre-pubescent...in a lot of eras. Should just stop that list at 4 though. Or even 3.

But, I'm deeply saddened by how unfinished 6 came out as. Seriously. There's what..30 clones?

There is NO excuse for this. It's not realism. Not all of the warriors fought the same first of all. Second, one of the BEST aspects (for me at least) in DW is it's UNIQUENESS. I get that it's historical, but history is boring at times. DW spruced it up. (Not to mention they are hypocrites for saying 6 is more realistic. Zhuge Liang still has his fan. And where in history has anyone had a chain-link bound set of claws. Or a whip.)

I get the feeling (As with most all of the "next-gen" releases) that they were rushed in the end, and released a half-finished DW6 in time for the releases of the systems.

What they should have done HERE was create DLC to fix the other characters. They wouldn't even need to overwrite them per se. Just provide a different version with the weapons they deserve to have.  I don't even mind having Fu Xi in or anything. I AM sick of people gasming over him, but whatever.

What is with Empires!? They "fixed" Cao Pi, Ma Chao, Ling Tong, Zhang He and Yue Ying in 6 for the PS2, but from one shot for 6 Empires all the characters are still the same.


If you are going to turn out crap like 6 repeatedly in the future, at least do the fans a favor and release something like WO for the newer systems. NOT just the PS3.

Granted, I did like 6 for a while. It was fun. But, after unlocking everyone and finding pretty much all of my favorites were trashed, the game collected dust. If not for it being a gift with the 360 itself I would have gotten rid of it further.  It's very bright, and a great addition to the DW set IF it got handled better.

1. Sunshang should get her ring things back... those were fun to play with.
2. Ma Chao should keep the spear.  Cuz he keeps saying "My spear of justice!"
3. I liked the weapon changes of: Xiahou Dun, Sima Yi, Zhou Yu, Diao Chan, Zhang Liao and Sun Quan.
4. I didn't like the weapon changes of: Taishi ci, Guan Ping, Sun Ce, and Zhang He (Who am I kidding, I don't even use Zhang He now...).  Why give more people sticks?

I really like to see like a super-unique weapon again... like the ring things.  It would really stick to the minds of people who play the game as a trademark.  Make a weapon that doesn't exist and looks flashy.

The Empires screenshot was a mistake; Cao Pi, Zhang He, Ling Tong and the rest of the decloned characters do keep their new movesets. Also, unless you're talking specifically about Warriors Orochi Z's new features which is basically just two new characters, upgraded graphics and a handful of new stages, Warriors Orochi 2 for the PS2 and XBox 360 is the same. If you want both the original WO and it's sequel, then switch discs!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure KOEI can do great with the ol' chakrams. Nothing like that boring Sun Shang Xiang's moveset. And, though Ma Chao's gimmick was always being the Spear of Justice, RotK had no mention of that title. So it can easily be changed to the "Sword(or Blade, any way you want it) of Justice". Personally, I like the latter better.

So my mistake on the Empires shot. SAVED there Koei. BUT STILL, why was the PS2 version the one that got fixed =.= It's like they were rushed simply cuz the systems were coming out and they weren't ready. OMG WHO CARES!

Didn't even think WO2 got released past the JP psp release. Oh well XD Already have that one. I love these X3 There's still the flavor of being historically accurate, but nothing beats originality. That's what made me like DW in the first place.

And technically, a LOT of series that use "Spear of Justice" don't always end up with a spear per se. I've seen a lot of "Spear of justice" ending up as other weapons. So, Ma with a sword isn't farfetched.\

I agree with the top one. Zhou Yu is so much sexier with the staff. And Diao with a whip is fitting. Liao with the two halberds is a beast. Sun Quan's sword fits him perfectly. But, they are still cloned in movesets. WEAK.
TRUE. I hated that. Ruined 3 of my fave characters (Just in that list of yours. They ruined a TON of people for me)

I agreed.A rapier i too was hoping for.Besides,he looks better than ever.I dont mind him looking like Zhen Ji because they did both came from Yuan Shao force and i dont mind both of them having rich clothes as their costumes.

The Reason they're no giving Zhang He a Rapier is cause they're either saving it for Nu Wa or  They Think its a Good Custom Weapoon for Empires Create a Character

I Agree they should make Yan Yan a Playable Character and give him a Bow/Blade Type Thing That would attract a lot of Players

Here is my opinion on weapons

Sun Shang Xiang: I think Sun Shang Xiang should keep her weapon. If not that, make it the bladed bow instead. That is what she is known for having in some games, especially ROTK.

Da Qiao: If she was ever to return, she should have "Wind & Fire wheels" instead of the fans.
   1. Since she is slowly growing up each game, why not give her a deadly weapon.
   2. It might not be true in other people's eyes, but the wheels could even be used as if they were fans.

Yue Ying: She needs a weapon to match her intelligence, and my first choice was a scythe, but I also thought of a monk's spade. A Pretty unique weapon in my opinion.

Too Many Spears But looking at the latest update on Dw6 Empires They'll get they're weapons from Dw6 Special Except Lu Meng, Guan Ping, Cao Ren and Xu Huang They're Stayig with the Pikes & Halberds  It looks like Ling Tong has A Hideyoshi Hashiba Nuchaku Staff Ma Chao With a Broad sword and Yue Ying with a Crossbow? thats what it looks like in the picture Oh and They're bringing Meng huo back with a Totem pole Type weapon
