You forget that Harald Hardradda invaded England during the period of the Hundred Years War, being defeated by Harold II.

Lol... haha... Harold Hardrada ("the hard ruler") invaded England in 1066 and was defeated by Harold Godwinson at Stamford Bridge. The "Hundred Years war" that you are referring to occurred roughly from 1300-1400 and had nothing to do with the viking invasion period of 1066!

That's got to be one of the most shockingly false statements I've ever heard... surely everyone knows it was Harold Hardrada and Duke William who invaded England in 1066...? Seriously, where do you people get your information from?

I truely can care less about the real Facts behind this game... If u wanna to no something historically acurate, The characters should be shorter as ppl were shorter than, and if u got cut up (like slashed about twenty times in a battle, u should probably be dead), I haver no problems with throwing things like elephants, or anything other special unit or even a character who can withstand more than a couple blows...

Looking at some of the artwork for the generals in this game, there might be a Spanish character or two.  Some of the generals (especially the neutral "mercenary" generals) seem to have a Spanish-type look to them.

I think the bar-tender is Spanish, at least he sounds Spanish to me.

I don't mind them putting Asians,cammels and stuff........but they could have at least added Italian,Scottish or German charecters or Units in the game since many of there mercenarys were involved.. (even if John Hawkwood did have a lot of history in florence )

I agree... I would like to see/hear more scottish and german, To me they almost all sound french and dutch....maybe spanish, although they don't roll the "R"

hmmm.......I was refering to charecters and units........but yea the language should ajusted too

Well so far, I have seen 2-3 Irish mercs, 1 Welsh Merc, several kilt wearing units, a Spanish barkeep, a handful of french and english generals (what the hell is with Prince Edward btw?  He's Akechi Mitsuhide in black armour!) and one mongolian.

There are other characters kicking around, it really is a mix bag of nationalities, just a pity the voice acting is rather poor.

I was a tad bit disapointed when i saw so many mongol and chinese mercenaries... Probably a little more than there actually was in the war... if any... same with "Magic",  But on second thought... gave way more options for units and exceeded ecpectations

The game was never going to be historically accurate, so adding Magic and Far Eastern mercs seemed like a good idea I suppose.

*Feeling a historical beatdown approaching*What in the world,Harald Hardradda invaded England all the way in 1066 and died at stamford bridge.Harold then went back to Hastings to fight a tough battle with William of Normandy,he lost and the Kingdom of England was formed from William's tough administration and subjugation of parts of England.Anyway...at least there are some european mercenary in this game,why in the world would horse archers be used in France,bring on the mercenaries from the Holy Roman Empire and Italy and especially Burgandy.To tell the truth,I hope a realistic representation of The Hundred Years war or The wars between Hohenstaufens and Charles of Valois etc in Sicily come out,I dont mean realistic by which my character dies from one crossbow bolt,I mean realistic in terms of troops,siege warfare and strategies.
