Who the hell said '
Where the Red Ferns Grow
'?! Good book; Made me bawl my eyes out like a baby, even the boys in my English class were crying. Ha-ha, well the most boring book for me, was some book about these Southern folk and all. The name slipped my mind, but I had to read it in the Seventh grade, let me tell you; THE MOST GOD AWFUL BOOK EVER WRITTEN!
It was a complete bore and snooze fest. I thought I was going to bang my head against the wall or my desk because of how boring it was. Honestly. Oh well.

Omg I love that book. I remember reading back in 5th grade. It was so sad, and the movie was good too. I thought it was a fantastic book.

History is... amazing, but it is also tragic. It is a story of never ending heroism, deceitfulness, wonder, pain, and tragedy. It is an unfinished epic, an unsolved mystery. There is so much we do not know, and there is so much we have yet to learn.

Shakespeare's book annoy the heck out of me. I can't find any way to get interested in his stories, especially the way he wrote them. When I'm reading his stories, I feel that I need a translator half the time to understand what Shakespeare meant to say...

I never said that I didn't understand old english. Some parts of Shake's books however require me to stop reading for a second and actually attempt to figure out what the purpose of some words are and what's their meaning in the sentence.
Anyway, I live in the US, where slang talk is becoming more and more used. Suddenly getting in some book written in old english can get you confused for a second.

If I have to stop and think about what the writer is trying to say, be it Old English or out-dated jokes and inuendo, I lose interest. It's hard to immerse yourself in a novel if you're constantly having to backtrack.

Cheaper by the Dozen was short, yes, but it was mental anguish. I'd rather read instructional manuals for foreign golf equipment than suffer through that sinister piece of literature again.

I second that, it was so bad. I think I would rather castrate myself with pliers then ever read that again.

For me the most boring book I've read would have to be Jane Ayre, I read the first 12 pages and stopped. I still managed an 86% on the test but still.
