[Yuan Shu]

In Anti-Dong Zhuo, Rise of Heroes and Battle of Guan Du scnarios, when I am with a force far away from Cao Cao, Cao Cao will expand very fast, due to many officers (and events help them too). Like when Anti-Dong Zhuo scenario, he only got Chen Liu, then by event he got Pu Yang, then he attacked Xu Chang, later by event again, he took all Li Jue's city, expanding from 3 cities to 7 cities by event, then if everything goes according to event, he took Xiao Pei and Xia Pi from Liu Bei. Its a fastration seeing Cao Cao get 6 free cities by event. When I'm in Shi Xie force or Liu Biao or even Sun family's, by the time I get enough army, Cao Cao has already taken the whole central plains and I'm stuck in my city, defendingy against his enormous troops from the north. Is there anyway to prevent his expansion using forces like Liu Zhang, Shi Xie, Liu Biao, Sun family or other sourtern and eastern forces?

not really.  if you want an even playing field, play heroes across time scenario (or whatever its called in this version).  or, dont play historical events.

so what do you want?  sun jian always wins hat, not cao cao if you let it go.  he is actually the biggest force in hat.  liu bei starts in the southwest and will get going with a small push to take out liu biao and liu yan.  there are NO events in hat, so i fail to see your point here.

if you are not playing as him i fail to see the relevance of liu bei, unless you absolutely want to be the one that wipes him out.

How do you do get the majority of the animated events? I went to gamefaqs but its the half  ( pardon me) way. Also he doesn't say how to get the final one.

the animated events are all accounted for on gamefaqs and kongming.net

it is the event stills we still have not found the surefire way to get them all.

Question: Is it possible to play as Liu Bei (or one of his officers) in an early scenario and eventually rule over Shu using only events, basically recreating his life of continually fleeing from one city to another? I managed to get as far as taking over Tao Qian's territories, but I haven't been able to recreate the Lu Bu series of events yet.

hank, none that i know of.  buy the game in english if you want it in english.

hagen, it is possible but highly unlikely because you would have to do everything just right, and so would the cpu.  liu yan must die and zhang take over.  lu bu must shoot the arrow etc etc.  you have about 100 things you have (and the cpu which you have no control over) to do between you starting in yellow turbans and just getting to shu.

I could use help with a few things...

Starting off, playing in Lie Bei's force in the Chi Bi scenerio. I can get as far as Jiang Ling, where you get Xu Shu, hold off Cao Cao, get Zhuge Liang, ally with Wu and Zhou Yu beats Cao Cao at the Red Cliffs. But then you're in Jiang Ling. I want to take part in the Yi Campaign, which seems rather hard for some reason. I can't get Liu Bei to call for it. I tried searching for Pang Tong, or Fa Zheng, and I tried taking over Jing, all of which led to Liu Bei's conquest for Yi. So does anyone know the series of events needed for the taking of Shu to occur?

Then also, I need help with the animated events requiring Jie Ting. I tried playing as Zhuge Liang, got the Northern Expansion one, but Jie Ting never comes up. Then I played as a created officer, siding against Wei Yan, then waited for Jie Ting. But it never happened. To get the execution of Ma Su, Jie Ting simply needs to occur. For Zhuge Liang's death, I believe you need to side against Wei Yan, not partake in Jie Ting, then lose Wu Zhang. But neither can be done for me as I can't trigger Jie Ting.

Lastly, the dual proposal one with Zhou Yu and Sun Ce. First I tried Sun Ce, lost my first battle then remade a force and won with 5000 more troops, did everything the FAQ said I needed to, but it didn't happen. So I tried it with Zhou Yu, taking a free city then trying to conquer Wu. But we were too poor and I couldn't convince Sun Ce to let me attack Yan Baihu or anyone else, so I gave up there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ah, and one last thing. I wish to make a created officer with Ma Chao's RTK 9 portrait. Anyone know how to unlock this? I'm thinking it's meeting a crapload of characters in game, yes?

for most events that are a battle, you actually have to do the invasion manually.  meaning for yi, you have to invade.  you also have to get ma chao wiped off the map by cao cao.  for jie ting, again you must provoke them into attacking you so you lose.  try saving and reloading.  it helps to kick start events.  if you want to know the order of events, start a new game as somebody and dont join a force.  save and reload over and over again. you will see each and every event pass by and you can see what you are missing.

if you did everything the faq said, then i dont know.  make sure you are sworn brother with zhou yu, take the needed cities.  get friendship with dude up high enough.  nothing else to it.

dont know the specifics of how to unlock that specifically.  seeing events, event stills, getting items, meeting officers, becoming friends with officers, winning 30 straight duels, debatles, battles, etc unlocks them.

I just went back to playing RoTK X, since I'm not a fan of XI's setup, and I'm having a slight problem. My created character is currently prefect of a city, and whenever I invade another city from the "Council" area, I don't get to participate in battles, I only see the end result.

Is there a way to ensure that I get to be a part of the battle, and fight the battle manually?
