Nintendo, aren't they just more excited about the fact that they relied too much on the backwards compatibility? really, as much as controls they have, they kinda make my wallet smaller if I buy a Nintendo Wii that is.
Sure it's fun to have backwards compatibilities and that it might be cheaper in price at the launch but what many people do not see is the fact that Nintendo is acting very sleazy when it makes the SNES games for example like sort of pay per view which is very expensive at the end.
So Wii is in fact more expensive on long terms compared to the Xbox 360 & PS3.

The PS3 games are actually pretty interresting, sure there are some sequels (Dynasty Warriors 6 hehe). Sony is a much more advanced company and they have more developers than Nintendo thus it's obvious that they have better games.
The SNES was the king of the gameconsoles and had a lot of gamedevelopers but now they merely have some so they make the SNES, NES compatibility to compete with the Xbox360.

I'll get the PS3 and the Xbox360, and if I feel like it, the Wii too. Sony is the best out of the three companies, so I'll proabaly get their's first.

Wii is probably going to dominate this year and perhaps next year, due to reason that PS3 is quite expensive and its most waited games (like MGS4 and FFXIII) are not launching titles. After the price of PS3 drops down, well then Wii's going to bow donw before it. Many people are probably going to get WII first because it's cheap and interesting, but after they have seen it, hopefully they change to PS3  .

One thing is sure though... Xbox 360 gets stomped by PS3 and Wii. I don't think that console has been succesful at anywhere, even in Japan it was a flop.

I blame the games..nothing is all that epic out right now, not much has take my intrest to wanting to pick it up again.
Some of the later titles look intresting, but again, not much in my books to wanting the system (and all the Xbox games i own are STILL not backwards compatible on it..sigh)

The problem with most new systems is that, unless you're going from an old format to a new one (like, say from SNES to PSX), you don't really get that jump that shows you're really playing something new.

And that's probably a problem for XBox 360 right now - the games don't look a whole lot better than what they did at the end of the life of the XBox. That'll change as time goes on, but it's something you have to suffer through with the first games of a new system.

I mean, just compare DW2 to DW5. That's alot of progress there.

Eventually, I'll get a PS3. I'd love to have an HD tv before I do, just so I can actually make full use of the next generation DVD capabilities of Blue Ray. I have no interest in the 360 or Wii.

599 € for the sixty gig and 499 € for the 20 Gig without Wifi compatibility. but I do recommend you to buy the Wii since you are most probably scattered of the high price of Sony's PS3 console but personally, I am just going to get the PS3 as if you are going to buy a Nintendo then I also suggest for the other gamers who do want a decent game console and have enough money just to buy the Wii console, wait and just collect a little bit more money and combine that money with your money that you saved for the Wii and buy the PS3.

Give me some good old fighting games which are always much greater to have, in Japan actually there will come of those Japanese anime fighting games and I am sure Guilty Gear will come on the PS3 aswell.

Well it is going to be released in November so it is obvious that you can't get both in the same year lol but anyhow I am taking the PS3 instead of the Wii because I just stick loyally to Sony rather than Nintendo.
If a Dragonball game comes out for the PS3 then it would be great and I would be for sure going to get it and I can also play the PS2 games on the PS3 console so I won't be missing too much fun.
I also hope that Street Fighter 4 will come on the PS3 as I am a huge fan of the SF game genre.

The games are lacking, the gamedeveloppers have no real option of expanding their gamelevels, characters etc. which they can do on the PS3 because of the Blue Ray Disks.

Good call but I assume you will take the expensive PS3 version right? I mean, if you take the cheap version, you won't have Hdmi or Wifi Support and a 20 Gig. of hard disk instead of 60 Gb.

That's not what I'm saying. It's too early to predict what console certain developers/publishers are going to favour. Who knows, perhaps Arc System Works would prefer developing for the 360, or Wii, rather than PS3? It's too early to tell.

I heard the PS3 is supposed to cost 700-800 dollars.

And a lot of that cost is due to the new technology that is Blue Ray.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if XBox never gets it's HD-DVD add-on.
