What would be the opinions of these people, both the major legends and the minor players, if they saw the legacy they had left, what LGZ had written about them, and what Koei later did with their images?

lol

I wonder how Cao Cao and Sima Yi would perceive modern impressions of themselves. And would Cao Cao be pleased or ticked about what Cao Pi did?

Liu Bei might get a bit of gloating going on about his "hero" status but at the price of his manhood in the novel? Heh.

Yuan Shao would be like, "That's what happened after I kicked the bucket? What an insult!"

Dong Zhuo would probably wish he had considered a bit of a diet, that candle story is rather macabre.

The biggest mystery would probably be Wu's three leaders, Sun Jian and his progeny.

Ha ha, he may not even recognize himself.

I suppose that Liu Bei may technically perceive it as a "victory" because everyone thought he was a hero in the end, but indeed, at the cost of looking like a naive bumbling idiot.

I have a funny feeling that Sun Jian would not be very amused with Sun Ce for his dealings with Yuan Shu.

On that note, Yuan Shu would probably be insulted and quite ticked off that he got turned in to a villain (probably the same with Dong Zhuo actually)

If there's one person who wouldn't complain, I would certainly think it's Zhuge Liang. I'm not sure what Sima Yi would think of the modern impression of his legacy, but he would be fuming that he was rated second to Zhuge Liang. He may even develop that rivalry that we all love so much.

He Jin would probably be asking where he is, where is his recognition.  Same as Yuan Shu possibly.  And along that line Chen Dao might wonder why he isn't even mentioned much less portrayed in the game.

Some of them may even be a little upset that their info bieng known outside of their native country is reduced to child and teen amusement purposes only.  A lot of players of the games (not the ones we see here obviously) don't care about the legacy of the people and just wnat to beat people up with them.

Depends really but I know your talking about the Dynasty Warriors series. But some people may choose an officer like Lu Bu in the ROTK series for his bravey.

(If your talking about DW, think how Zhang He would feel? lol)

Ha ha, the DW series is a collection of caricatures, that I would think boil the blood of the entire cast. They probably wouldn't even recognize themselves. Still. There's quarrels for them to have with their ROTK counterparts, and probably even with history too.

Imagine Lu Bus rage when he found out his guys let Cao Cao go... Glad I'm not on that continent.

I haven't really played anything except DW1 but I imagine people like Zhang Liao and Cao Ren wouldn't mind their DW renditions. They'd probably think it's a bit much flash, but it's not really a negative portrayal.

I am however absolutely certain that Xu Zhu and Zhang He would flip out. Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang with their laser beams, Pang Tong the mysterious magician, all crap designs. I guess it's kind of hard to warrant strategists in a beat-em-up, although I'm sure some better form of gameplay exists.

Zhuge Liang would be disappointed about the fate of the Han, but something tells me he would be the first one to bring up Karma and Heaven's wishes when it came to the fall of Cao Wei, the fall of Sun Wu, and the shattering and remnant status of the Jin.

My story, Fallen Kingdoms read it, you'll like it Wink

History is... amazing, but it is also tragic. It is a story of never ending heroism, deceitfulness, wonder, pain, and tragedy. It is an unfinished epic, an unsolved mystery. There is so much we do not know, and there is so much we have yet to learn.

I'm quite sure Liu Chan wouldn't be pleased with his name becoming the synonym for idiot.

Dian Wei probably wouldn't be unhappy about being portrayed as a muscle man, then again, i'm not sure if I would.

I DEFINITELY know Guo Jia would be unhappy with his portrayal in the games so far. It took them 7 games to put him in, and when they do he looks a like one of the Jonas Brothers. Though I am sure he would be happy with his ROTK portrayal,

You missed out Zhao Yun. He'd be having the best time of his life since he's the main coverboy.

I'm sure Yun would love reading the novel.

I dont know about that... a lot of the stuff he actually did do gets omitted or accredited to someone else (looking at you, Zhuge... >.>) but that's later in his life... I'm certain if we give him the first half of the novel he'll be pleased as punch.

I was more thinking about the time he saved Liu Bei's son. Fighting an army, i'm sure he wouldn't mind?
