attempted to hire him.

During a very odd RoH, Cao Cao was conquered by Liu Biao, who then became the most prominent force in the south, defeating all three of the major kingdoms, while the area usually occupied by Ma Chao/Dong Zhuo was controlled by Zhang Lu, and the toughest opponent I had to face up North was Liu Yu. Essentially, all those diplomatic "no hope in conflict" forces totally dominated the ones full of warriors
