is dead on correct. Not to mention IGN has seemingly joined the "Diss Koei's games wagon".
Dragon Master?
You may know a good number of people that love Koei's games. No matter what the game is, in the end, it always seems to get piss-poor reviews. Whenever Koei's games get reviewed, it doesn't get reviewed the right way. Meaning both the positives, and the negatives. Just the negatives seem to be thrown out there, when in fact there are good things to say about Koei's games.
You knowing a good or even ALOT of people, would only amount to what? No more than Eight Percent of Koei's Western Sales. This is mainly because of (Again) the piss-poor reviews.
You see, the problem is this: Most gamers, (Who obviously lack the neccessary skills) are too scared to actually play any of Koei's games. Instead, they just wait until X-Play, IGN, Gamespot, or whoever to review it, then they start saying things like, "OH, any game that is made by Koei, is absolute Garbage, because X-Play, or IGN, or Gamespot said so" instead of learning the art of renting games from Block Buster, Gamefly, Hollywood Video, or where ever you can rent games from, so they can judge the games themselves.
Personally, if none of them can review Koei's games the right way, then I'd rather them not review Koei's games at all, then to continue to make a mockery of them, and giving them bogus and uneducated Scores / Reviews.
Only sheep/fanboys take IGN, Gamespot, or X-play serious. Hardcore gamers do not. I agree that they should not review Koei games because of their bias and mockery.

You do, but Gamespot and X-Play doesn't.
Who cares what Gamespot and X-Play thinks??? I certainly don't. Do you?

I completely agree with this.
I was merely saying that it's a shame that, that's what it boils down to, when people start making a mockery of anything that is produced by Koei period.

I stopped caring about X-Play, when Blair Herter, gave that unprofessional, piss-poor review on both Dynasty Warriors Six Empires, and Dynasty Warriors Gundam Two. Basically, X-Play lost my respect, when they hired that douchebag.

uh why do you say such things as that like the Ps3 doesn't respect Samurai Warriors 3. What if Koei did not want to release it for another system for they were trying to target another crowd

Even I don't really understand the person's reasoning as well. I just want the systems to "get along". lol

why doesn't the PS3 respect the Samurai Warriors series. What makes you say that some examples for X-play (X-box) makes horrible reviews on koei games as well does gamespot.

The idea
would
have been bad, had they decided to make it a Wii exclusive. But with the promise of 3Z, I have no qualms about the game being on the Wii. I can understand Koei from a business standpoint, and giving a timed release for the Wii (on paper) sounded like a good way for a third party developer to have some success in a less competitive market without having to worry about major competition from mainstream titles (no one buys a Wii to play Call of Duty). Personally, I would have preferred it to be released for the PS3 first though, as the bulk of Koei's fanbase most likely own one of the two more mainstream consoles, and then made the Wii release a port with special features, but as long as a major platform gets a version of the game, I really don't care that much who got it first. Besides, 3Z includes XL right out of the box, so being patient pays off I suppose (I have a Wii, but chose to wait for the inevitatble expansion).

As a person who only has a Wii, I must say I was thrilled to have SW3 released only on the Wii (for a short amount of time). Believe me, you can only play Super Smash Bros. Brawl for so long until it wears out on you.
Though I'm glad they're transferring it to other systems. If they want to make as much money as possible, they should have just released the games to the other systems, leaving the Takamaru stuff as Wii exclusive. I'm glad they're making the proper adjustments to SW3Z.

Its because the games are very repetitive though i love them i understand why some do not.
Ad truthfully the only Game Koei has ever made that i played for several years was and still is Samurai Warriors 2 Empires (4 going on 5 years) without losing intrest and when SW3 was made only for Wii it broke my heart lol.
Thank god for SW3Z though

The following post is an anecdote not connected to the main thread, but rather, addressing an issue brought out during a discussion on said thread. Viewer discretion is advised.
If you ask me, Gamespot and X-Play are respectable game critics (notice I didn't list IGN) that really do give honor where the honor is due. Though neither were fans of JRPGs, they both gave Final Fantasy 12 very good reviews. I even recall X-Play consenting to give a Dragon Ball Z Boudokai game a 4/5, despite the fact that they often mock that series as well. And it can't be argued that they only give good reviews to mainstream developers who pay them off. The Force Unleashed Series is certainly a mainstream franchise developed by LucasArts (and they are loaded), but that didn't change the fact that the games were given negative reviews. Perhaps the reason why games like Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, and Mass Effect are given such good reviews is because they might actually be good games. Every problem that they bring up with Koei games is a valid point, but that doesn't stop them from listing the positives about the game either. And furthermore, they have repeatedly stated that just because they give a game a certain score doesn't mean it's a universal truth for the entire consumer market. If you enjoy the game, buy it. All they're trying to do is inform you of the risks you take when spending your hard earned money. But if you can bear the problems with a game, then have at it. Don't attack a respected gaming establishment just because they are giving their honest opinion. I love Koei games, but I don't disrespect them by pretending they're without their flaws. And that acceptance of Koei games despite their flaws is a testiment to how much I really love them. As for IGN, they actually have no idea what they're doing.
Obligatory on-topic response: I hope that 3Z comes to the 360 as well (just as the NA and EU DW7 release is getting a 360 version). Xbox players make up a large portion of the consumer demographic and alienating them isn't good business sense in my opinion.
