As the title says, when i started up the game and an error window pops up with the error "unable to detect audio device" which is weird because my sound driver works properly with all games, movies, and music except this DW6

Can anyone help to fix this problem or by pass the audio check when the game starts up?

I am having this same exact problem, and Im surprised that after so much time that this has been posted that no one has went and at least HELPED him.

I am having the same problem, everything on my computer is updated, including the drivers, on a windows XP.

I contacted support, and I have not gotten a reply in quite some time, so if you can, make haste, please! I spend quite a bit of money on this game.

how about your sound driver Huh
or look your audio decoder ??
you have media player classic ??
if have try this :
1. click configuration , after that click  ffdshow audio  and click menu Output decoder please try any options and play DW6 , if not work , do again ,

but i always fix my ffdshow on Output , mark on option ( 16 bit integer) and mark on option (Allow direct-to-file output)

when i must reinstall again my windows , my DW 6 always crash because i not fix
ffdshow video docoder , i found on not mark all list  RGB system ,
