This thread is for all people to discuss MMA fighters, events, organizations, techniques etc.

Well my favorite organizations are Strikeforce, and the UFC.
My favorite fighters are Lyoto Machida(He has good strategy), BJ Penn, Shinya Aoki(Love his submissions), Megumi Fujii and Brock Lesnar.

Strikeforce Fedor vs. Werdum was suprising to me, I was expecting Fedor to win this one but then lose in one of his next few fights before his Strikeforce contract ends.

I don't know that I was surprised by it.  Fedor tried to approach Werdum like he did Minotauro, but even Minotauro didn't want to go to the ground with Werdum.  Oh well, I am sure there will be a rematch and Fedor will probably win.  My guess: Fedor would beat Werdum 9 out of 10 times, last Saturday was just that 1 out of 10 where Werdum wins.

And I honestly have to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Fedor lost. I'm not a big fan of him. Anyway though, I'm getting back deep into MMA. I kind of got out of it for a little while because of other things, but im hopping back on board.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I think if Fedor were to fight Werdum again that Fedor would lose.
But he has to re-new his contract, because he only has one more fight on his contract at the moment.

Interesting note, Werdum has beaten both Emelianenkos.  He may deserve a medal!

Fedor is a good opponent. Defeating him is a big obstacle itself. I wanna see Brock and Fedor in the same organization fighting for a vacant Heavyweight title, it would be so dramatic seeing Brock vs. Fedor for the Vacant Heavyweight Title.

Haha, Lesnar retired after the idiot trend continues!

Seriously, why are all these wrestlers trying to stand up with strikers?  I don't get it.

Apparently, Nick Diaz is also retiring because the judges didn't think he won the fight tonight....  I think he needs to remember that if a fight goes to the judges, then they are going to judge several factors including effective aggressiveness- not just who was moving forward constantly.  Moving forward to taunt is not going to score any points.

Who am I talking to again?

Wow, looking back at this I had a terrible top 5 list. Both Dos Santos and Overeem's last opponents(Velasquez, Lesnar)  who are wrestlers tried to stand with them.

I wish Nick did not retire. He was always exciting to watch. He could have been more productive his fight with Condit.
