is there a limit on how many troops can be drafted with barracks? i take some countries with like 12 barracks sometimes and someone once told me that the most beneficial amount of barracks is 8 because afer that there is no benefit. is that true? does the computer just waste space like that?

About the barracks yeah just look at their army, the fill it up with more barracks than anything else. And if you go 12 barracks it's a bit to much troops to be drafted. in my opinion.

so if i have a city not touching any enemies, i can (at least in theory) build nothing but turrets and barracks and it will become a drafting beast of a city? even revolts wont matter if i have enough turrets and a workshop. ill give it a try and let ya know how it goes...

yup that is what i do once i capture enough lands or castles i destroy all of those facilities. For example my bordering castles will be only turrets and workshops, behind those are castles with only barracks/smiths/ranches/cannons/rams/towers. Behind those are Markets and Farms.

what i have read is that the first 10 barracks will generate about 100 troops/draft/barrack after that the number goes down to 50/draft/barrack

This is my experience, play the Unification mode till 1565 or so on ( with Rokkaku still exist) then if possible take Kannonji Castle where it belong to Rokkaku, then check the barrack, its number is between 15-20 but it always 20.But everybody that play this game always build 12 barrack, but i always build 5 barrack (no more no less) in every fief, and have 85+ leadership officer to drafting and the result is around 2000 troops  . How about you guys?
