I think Koei has been successful enough that it can take risks to start a new franchise and I'm sure they have enough fans that would atleast try the game and I'm positive they have enough die hard fans who would love anything they come out with like myself.
That been said,
I've never been one for forums but I was playing Strikeforce and an idea hit me and it's been all that I've been thinking of lately, I actually even had a dream about it where I was in the game.
I wonder though, since Koei isn't currently open to suggestions do you think anyone has their eye on this forum? Possibly scouting out any ideas?
I could spend a few hours typing out the idea I had but I'd hate for it to never maybe be seen.

Well I'll try typing out my idea, I'm on my phone at the moment, unfortunately. My idea came from thinking strikeforce could have been more multiplayer than it is. So my idea actually draws from multiple games and like someone else said previously, since the orochi game it really opens up what you could do with the game if it was an mmo style. You could have towns similar to the strikeforce towns but instead of accepting quests and going to a level, you would accept the quest and walk out of town and travel to where you need to go like free roaming. You could have 2 factions ,similar to world of Warcraft, but here you would have the dynasty warriors of china and the samurai warriors of japan. Orochi could be the shared enemy between the two while having pvp between DW and SW. Another concept from other popular mmo's, instances, dungeons whatever you want to call them. Koei was open minded enough to put in huge creatures like Sun Jian's tiger or Cao Cao's phoenix, there would be no shortage of creature for boss fights. Or some really powerful demons Orochi brought in. The leveling system could be reworked so that some stats raise by themselves but you can also place some your self. The Chi's from strikeforce could be worked into a talent tree. Orbs and weapons could be dropped randomly from all enemies, higher level enemies obviously drop better equipment. The equipment could have randomly generated stats they start with and enemies could also drop materials same as strikeforce to craft better weapons and orbs or improve weapons you have already. Some of the strikeforce maps and castles could be re-used for dungeons or towns. The fighting could be similar to strike force maybe make it so you can't jump 12,000 feet in the air with the triple jumps and Y attack to go higher. Again I am sorry if it's a bit scattered I am typing this from my phone and it's a lot harder to keep it neat. I'm sure I forgot something but I could add it later I suppose. One more thing, I said earlier koei has been successful enough to take risks and by risks I think they could try to take a leap of faith and try to host an mmo stlye warriors game and I can't speak for all fans but I would definetly pay a monthly fee for this game. I'm sure other fans would pay it and if not they would atleast give it a shot.
Edit: Another thing to add, I can't remember which dynasty warriors it was that had the dueling feature, but you could make it so people could request a duel and be sent to a small arena to fight.
And some small personal room maybe where you can sit and go through and store items or recover.
The towns could be more spread out and pleasing to the eye than the relatively small clumped town in strikeforce.
With the Chi skills from strikeforce turned into talent trees you could have people built to tank with provoke, restore, and defense type skills, and people built for quick damage dealing with weaponry or bosses, and people built for crowd control having increased reach, stun or something of the sort.
The more I talk about this the more I wish it was real..
For a "dungeon or instance" idea you and a small team could be set against a castle, first step, clear enough of the troops to get to the walls, send a team member to take out the weaponry, one on crowd control and some to take out the boss or bosses guarding the entrance. Once inside there could be multiple ways to go with various traps bosses and troops and then eventually one main boss to beat the dungeon.

First: I think it would be a good idea for Koei to come up with new storylines/games.
--Of course, I wouls still love to see, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors continue to grow. I think many things can be done to imporve the way one can play DW and SW. Of course, you can always change things around for it reach a new status.
--Such as (Just a suggestion of course) You can take the Romance of The Three Kingdoms into a more future world. Keep all the same characters, possibly even more. Upgrade their weapons with more future technolgy on their weapons. They can be the same weapons just with a newer design to them. The story line can basically be the same still, the story is amazing after all. You will only be taking it to the future to bring a new look upon it. This is just a small suggestion of course, I find it to be rather interesting. I think it could be worth a small play for a while, but that's just me.
--As well as others on here, I'd love to see more from Warriors Orichi. I think there is still many possiblities there for a much bigger story. I look forward for that to come out, I really do.
--As for the idea of new storylines/games. I think it would be a pretty good idea, to be honest. I mean it can bring in a whole new view for Koei. They can design their own characters, their own story and their own weapons and armies. Making their own thing, gives them an unlimited range of ideas. I would gladly help in these ideas. I have a few ideas myself on creating a new world for war. Though I doubt anyone would be intrested in my ideas, they are still a work in progress

i love the Warriors games
i would love a new anime style one like Gundam and fist of the North Star
u could do another anime with lots of characters like Naruto
you could do that one like empires with the different villages and leaders
or even Star Wars that has lots of fighting and plenty of room to make a new story
or something along those lines
but thats my opinion

Plenty of good history and public domain subjects to choose from. I still think the warrior series screams for a "Viking Saga" or "Irish Saga", or other Dark Age tales. Small armies, plenty of different warlords, tons of feats of battles, a little myth, and a whole lot of bloodshed.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
I KNOW RIGHT?! "Oh no! I have to THINK now! I don't like this! I give up!" <---- THAT's why koei needs to make a ROTK online or a NA online that is released worldwide and not just in japan.
So we can show them who's boss.... or so I can show YOU who's boss...
anyways, yea, if my house was on fire right now, the first thing i would grab is my Koei games, which i conveniently have in one of those disc holding pouches that holds a bunch of discs safely in a pouch looking thing, which i conveniently placed a nametag on that says "Games I need in order to continue living."

Hell, I'd just be happy if Koei came out with a X360 updated version of ROTK.
Koei rules when it comes to such as the Kessen and ROTK style games. Uncharted Waters on a machine such as the 360 or PS3, with next gen graphics and a cool tactical battle layout. Even the venerable Vive La Emperor, with new edge graphics.
Come on Koei. Get back to your roots, and stop making drivel that has no soul.

Sounds like a challenge, we will just have to see. although i think they do have Nobunaga's Ambition Online but it is nothing compared to it it is more like samurai warriors
