To add something? How about different fighting styles for the generic weapons? Perhaps 3 different styles for each weapon. 3 for sword, 3 for spear, and 3 for naginata.

It would at least make the created officers more varied and distinct (since I don't normally like using the Musou officers weapons for created characters... Except Mitsuhide's).

I'd also like to see more characters for the Eastern Army, and some more characterization (the stuff between Yukimura, Kai, and Kunoichi is great.) And perhaps a bit more tactical, and have a choice to have say 8-10 troops that you can order around the map (at least for Empires).

Those are some genius ideas Yue Fei. Yes, different fighting styles would be an awesome feature. Variety is an essential key, when it comes to these types of games. Different fighting styles would come with maybe different stances, and different attack patterns. Cool

As for the troop following? Sounds like to me that you want alittle bit of Dynasty Warriors Five Xtreme Legends in your Samurai Warriors Three? laugh I definitely support that to. There was no greater joy, than hearing the reaction of your enemies, when you launched an ambush on them. Cool

More characterization, would be a welcomed addition. Especially when were talking about how your Created Warrior should have some deeper interaction, with the Musou Officers your serving under. Cool

Yeah, something like that. Or even the bodyguard system from Dynasty Warriors 3 and 4, but revamped so you can actually issue them orders (and perhaps customize them a bit more) and they'll perform them with varying degrees of success, based on 1) how well your character is doing 2) their actual level.

So say for example you have to do a mission that is timed, but a person who is key to the battle needs help. So you could order your small group to assist that individual while you are still able to complete the mission. (Remember my incident at Honnoji, this is partially what made me think of this).

I also think the series needs to grow a bit more. It's nice to be a lone killing machine, but at the same time wouldn't it be more awesome to be a lone killing machine who also has others kill for them?

I did love the bodyguard aspect of the older Dynasty Warrior games. But what you say is the truth, it could be expanded upon even more so, than it was. Now for me, I felt that the bodyguards that actually were walking killing machines, were the Dragon Class bodyguards. I remember sitting back, and actually watching all eight of them, acutally DESTROY Lu Bu, on Expert Mode. That, that was a beautiful sight to behold. Grin

Also, your bodyguards could possibly scan verify how you fight, and can actaully begin to fight just like you do. That way, if your good at fighting, there good at fighting. If you get mugged, then they'd have a hard time surviving. Basically, you'd have to lead by example, and show them how a real warrior fights. This would give them a high percentage of chance of surviving in battle. ^_^

Well I loved that BG system but when it got to a point my bg could defeat a general mainly Lu Bu that was a bad in my opinion. I would like to see Bg return but don't mind not having them either. If bg return we should have 2-4 bg only but won't ever be strong enough to defeat a general for example Lu Bu, Honda, and more. In the end I kind of feel the Bg is not really a needed add because we control generals that are just too powerful anyways.

I acknowledge what your saying Scorpion. But that only happened, when you fulfilled certain conditions to unlock the Dragon Class Bodyguards. Not even my Elite Bodyguards, could defeat Lu Bu. So that goes both ways.

But as you said, we really don't need bodyguards. I'd rather Koei use the data space, to add New Characters, New Stages, New Modes, and all that other good stuff. Should bodyguards need to be added? Then let them be added as Downloadable Content. That may sound alittle crazy, but I say let them conserve the iniatial space for the more important add-ons. Laugh Out Loud!!! laugh

Well let's see if I can help out with a story. If were going from a Samurai Warriors One view point? Then, that would leave two options. First: If you are going down the path of Lady Nohume? That would mean that you would show your loyalty, all the way up until the final stage. Due to Lady Nohume turning on Nobunaga Oda, and trying to kill him. I still don't get that part. But that would be the end result I think. The husband role here, would be to try and kill anyone who dares opposes you. Cool

Now, if your going to go down the path of Lady Oichi? That would mean that you would, (Again) play the role of a loyal wife. And you would support your husband for better or for worser. The husband role here, would be a hero who stands for Honor and Love. Cool

Hah... I'm glad you like that set up that I did. Well then, I guess you can either expand on it, or you can just call that the Final Draft. Wink

Personally, I think more can be added to it. But then again, it's hard to image what else that can actaully be added. Especially since your idea was going from a Samurai Warriors One stand point. Wink

If/when a Samurai Warriors 3 port happens for the xbox 360/PS3, I would like to see Mitsunari Ishida cast more of a villain like he was in Kessen.  I am sick of his new pretty boy/moodswing character portrayal.  He was a villain and needs to be portrayed that way.  His look should be older, cunning, and evil.  Kessen hit this portrayal right on the nail.

It seems Koei tries to portray Ieyasu Tokugawa more of a villain than Mitsunari.  If Mitsunari is portrayed as a villain, it would make him and the Western army more interesting.

I'm pretty sure personality changing would have to wait till SW4. Usually when ports happen, that means some additions will be made.

I know this is hella stupid but what if ( because shes my fav character from genji ) Lady Shizuka were in this game I think it would be awesome even if it isnt accurate because of the time periods i still think that would be fun and maybe she could be under the command of kenshin uesugi ya know from one gozen to another haha its just a thought but again i think it would be cool

Character Additions:

Takeda Army :

Toramasu Obu: "The Wild Tiger of Kai"
Nobusada Obata: Fought at Mikatagahara, Kozuke campaigns, and Nagashino
Masatada Amari: A fierce samurai for the Takeda

Tokugawa Army:

Moritsuna Watanabe: Also known as "Spear Hanzo" and said to be unequalled with a spear.

I think these warriors would make great additions to SW3 ports.

On a separate note, I would like to see Keiji Maeda return to his old self as he was on SW1.  I like the villain Keiji Maeda way better than the happy go lucky SW2 Keiji.  Keiji as a villain was more interesting and fun.

One thing that I've always wanted to be added to SW and DW is the ability to customize the movesets of characters using the generic weapon types. Nothing fancy, just and editor system to create mix-and-match movesets from the moves and attacks of other characters (much like the movesets of Kojiro Sasaki and Katsuie Shibata from SW2 Empires). The basic editor would let you choose between a variety of normal attack strings, as well as the different tiers of progressive charge attacks. Add the ability to choose your special attack, musou, and kaiden, and BAM! Epic.
