To be honest, there just isn't that many posters. Everybody you know will have 100+ posts and then others will occasionally come in make 5-25 posts and you never see again.

Well... That is what I've seen, anyhow.

so only the know it all's (myself included) are the only ones who keep coming. makes sense. and therefore since we know most, we seldom have any questions asked, and therefore, not many posts nor topics

Koei peaked more than a year ago, ever since it's been going in a steady decline with some extra activity in June of this year, but November so far has been the slowest month since 2005. Granted the month is not over yet, but even tripling the amount of new posts is still the lowest since 2005. I think it's simplest to put it this way. "Everything that could have been said, has been said" the only things left are discussions about adding things, detailing accounts on what you are doing in some games, or the other discussions. DW6 has peaked in June and became basically forgotten now. When DW7 comes around it will get a boost of activity, same if there is a NA13 board opening up [not new, just translated and brought over here] or a TK12 [made and brought over]. But otherwise, no. We aren't going to get any real activity since then.

It's sad, but all forums eventually die, some a lot more than others. Interest decreases when nothing new is there to hold interest. The sooner Koei starts feeling like a community towards it's newer members, and has numerous things that hold interest then we may be able to bring Koei back to when it used to feel that way.

I've done some, though mainly for some testing but in the RTTK 11 PC section you'll see three of them. One's finished, one's in progress, and one's locked until I can finish some things.

We're just in the trough of a wave right now. As Scholar pointed out, the buzz has died down a little since it's been a while for Koei to release a game. Give it time, I'm confident things will pick up again.

As for me, I'm still around, but have been a bit busier than normal. My wife and I are set to close tomorrow on a home we've had built, so we've been occupied with all of that, and I'm sure we'll be busy through the move and then the holidays.

I keep poking my head in here to see what's going on, but either haven't had time to chime in or haven't had anything interesting to bring up.

I think that most members only know about the reason they joined
e.g. I joined to learn about DW7 and now take part in many topics.

I work alot through the week so I only come thursday through sunday. I love the forums but alot of the heavy hitters from yesteryear have gone and we have alot of newbies who are shy to start topics. It's far from dying but we just need more people to shine and be heard. Though, it is getting close to the holidays, you have to take that into account as well.

When i started coming back on again in July or August the forum was fairly active.  Then about half way through September there was a noticeable drop in posts.  We only seem to have something to talk about when someone new joins the forum and asks questions here and there... once they get what they need we don't here from them again.  We need newbies to give the regulars conversation starters.

There will be a surge in activity when the next big release is made, probably Samurai Warriors 2, but other than that, it's all old stuff. I haven't been here these past couple of months because I don't feel like there is anything I need to be here for right now. The history section has died down giving me nothing to be active for.

I agree, but I'm pretty sure you meant to type 3, not 2. Wink

The most activity I saw on this forum was June/July earlier this year. And in my opinion, a big part of that was epaacccc. I hope he's not been banished from the boards, because for the most part he brought healthy activity to the history section, and I'd love to see him back.

But there did seem to be a point after the summer holiday, when posting dropped dramatically, for reasons already stated. I hope this down point doesn't last long.
