I have not played the game but just wanted to reply to the statement that this game is for a phone and that justifies its poor quality. The iPhone and the iPod Touch are more powerful than a DS and compares to the PSP. These machines are capable of producing excellent deep games. Whomever at KOEI was responsible for releasing this game should be fired.

I have played the game, and it's not all that bad. There are numerous let downs but that's all. The game on a whole isn't that bad, it has innovative ideas and is complex and challenging.

My story, Fallen Kingdoms read it, you'll like it Wink

History is... amazing, but it is also tragic. It is a story of never ending heroism, deceitfulness, wonder, pain, and tragedy. It is an unfinished epic, an unsolved mystery. There is so much we do not know, and there is so much we have yet to learn.

If I was to get it, it would be for novel purposes alone.

The only game I've ever found tolerable on a phone was Tetris.

But I'm a dork.

If you have the time can you explain what is bad about the game, what is missing in it? I have been holding off buying the game because every little seems to be known about it.  Any information would be great.  I am specifically interested in knowing if joint battles or reinforcements from other rulers are possible

FF8 cost me only 8.99. RTK touch cost me 9.99.

Which one quality better?

I have been played RTK for 20 years. RTK touch is the worst one I have ever play.

I can't even assign the number of troops to any of my general!!!
I know this is a simple version game for iphone. But, KOEI should

""Get the basic function ready then start to sell!!!""

9.99 dollar's game is not a cheap one for iphone game.

KOEI should do better!

Sounds like FF8 definitely has more content, oh and um... Better graphics. Actually his sounds like a gameboy advance game.

I gotta agree with this guy, but let's all set something straight. You should not be using the iphone for video games. If it was for PSP or DS that might be a little different.

And don't give me that IPHONE HAS POTENTIAL crap because its still a phone. I'd rather carry around a psp and a 2001 cell phone then anything apple is throwing out. Hey and think about how convienent that is, it's probably 10x cheaper and you can talk and play games at the same time!

is it feasible to assume that Koei may put out updates for this game? it's on the iPad now as well. could be that just like every other iphone/ipad app out there will be the possibility for updates to fix and add features.

i hope Koei follows that example.

it is a viable option for them to do that. But the only question is how many updates would it take to make the game better?

i'm not looking at the App Store right now, but usually an app will show how many updates it has had and what the updates were. At least apps on the Palm store show this. It would be interesting to know if Koei is doing this and what the updates were.

Also, since the whole idea of a touch interface is pretty new for a game, and the game was designed for a small phone i could see where this one might be more or less a test for the new type of hardware interface. perhaps as more Slate type computers and as more gamers use smartphones and other touch devices Keoi will continue to develop these games and make them even better.

The requirement of ROTX XI are so low that they could have put the whole game on iphone it would still run well.

But I guess converting the game code into objective C must be a lot of work.

Why not?? Have you got an iphone?? You can download what you like for the iphone. App's for game's app's, app's for shopping, app's for the net. Saying you shouldn't play game's on the iphone is stupid considering there are 1000's of game's ready to be downloaded.

BUT IT HAS GOT POTENTIAL!!!  Angry  Koei have just been lazy as usual!! They could of made a killer of a game here, but they haven't. Then they have the cheek of selling it a £5.99!!!!!!!! I've played better Strategy game's for 59p!!

Rant over.  angel

Hahah, don't sweat it. And yeah, you're probably right. It does have potential. But considering that Koei didn't even release an English PUK for RTKXI pc I'm not too surprised they would do less for a phone.
