Oh, thanks for that bandekar, I'll check it out. And ofcourse, I will check on your's as well... Smiley, I don't see why anything as good as this can be ignored. And if more people wrote this type of thing, I'm that it would help increase interest in the fourms.

A Province

July 16, 1565

I have decided to give trust in my retainers by letting them have a province. The bases that are to be included are Sannohe castle, Ishikawa castle, Kunohe castle, Odate castle, Namioki castle, Tosa port, Kuji port, and Hakodate port. The reason for why I only picked these bases is because they are well developed. Norisuke Asari will be the governor of that province. I know I had a quarrel with his clan a few years ago but I came to trust him. I will let him govern that province with a few restrictions. I will forbid any attacks he tries to make, for I do not want him to attack for he is going to supply the frontlines. For his civil policies I permit everything except technology, production of muskets, siege weapons, and ships. I will see if he is capable of this task, if he is not then he would leave me no choice but for me to give specific orders for every base that was part of that province.

Our Time to Advance

September 15, 1565

Today I had a meeting with the Date over a request it seems they decided to attack Yamagata castle but left themselves right open for an invasion from the Soma. I agreed to the request. While I was mounting my horse I thought about something; the Soma borders two forces the Date and the Takeda, if we always defeat the Soma it will leave their castle weak and it will be attacked by the Takeda. So I decided I will keep on pushing back the Soma and capture their castle, but for me to do so I had to call for a council meeting. My top generals attended the meeting; Mitsuhide Orimoto, Takanobu Ishikawa, and Nobuchika Kita. They agreed on the attack but Mitsuhide Orimoto also led me to see the opportunities of also attacking the Mogami. He told me we should also attack there for two important reasons; one was to surround the Date and the other was to gain personal for the Date seems to always attack the Mogami but are unsuccessful at it, so the Mogami has to have great talented officers. We came to the conclusion of attacking both castles.

the soma have a couple of good officers also, soma moritane being one of them. so mitsurugi at this point how many bases are under your control.
also, i have a question, if u create a province and have them do research, can you also continue doing research at the same time? the only problem with provinces doing research is that you may not put your best officers there, so generally the discoveries will go slower.

btw, in my current game i have just begun proceedings against the nanbu. i am trying to slow things down so that i can finish researching all techs, so that i can unlock one of the scenarios.

About whether the province research, I haven't had any of the ones I created research one, but I do think you can research at the same, since you do seperate the province under your daimyo and the province under your retainer and each has its own gold and food supply, as well as harvest and income.
And in game the Uesugi destroyed the Nanbu, but before that there was a rebellion in thier territory, so just saying...

Well let's see if i can remember:
-6 castles
-4 ports
-3 fortressess
- in total of 13 bases

When i created my province i forbided them to have anything to do with tech for i feared that i could not research tech or they would dissolve my academies and i would no longer be able to research the next tech. Also the province i created has academies as i said before and they are included along with the academies where i personaly give orders to my province.

And in game the Uesugi destroyed the Nanbu, but before that there was a rebellion in thier territory, so just saying...

What do you mean by this. Are you talking about what is going on with your game, or in history.
For in history the only rebellion i know of that the Nanbu suffered from was when i think his name is Tanemoru Oura or something like that rebelled against Nobunao Nanbu and stole Ishikawa castle and renamed it under his family's name. And the Uesugi never destroyed the Nanbu for the Nabu were allied with the Toyotami and so were the Uesugi. Smiley

Also i will have a post by sunday or tomorrow

No No, I'm talking about my game, not history. What I meant was that in my game, the Nanbu were defeated by the Uesugi, I'm not talking about history, same with the rebellion, though I think you are right about Tanemoru Oura...

2much, maybe it is the virtue number.

also, i tried creating a province and allowed them to do research. i could see they were building academies, but i am not sure if they were researching. at least i could not see my techs increase. so not sure if the province is really researching techs.

i think it is a bummer that however large you grow you can research only 1 tech at a time. i am playing a game as takeda. the scenario starts in 1561 but by 1579, except for the small island in the west, kyushu, i have the rest of japan conquered. i have over 400 officers. so i decided i would slow down the game, not eliminate the chosokabe (80k troops to my 3000k) so that i could research all the techs to unlock the final battle scenario. but it is taking forever. especially since the last two of each category can take upto a year to research even with high pol officers. i think this is a drawback of the game. in the real world you would research more that one topic at a time if u have the resources. but i think i will be able to research all the techs. i have already completed 4 of the trees.
i think playing takeda, is the fastest way to conquer japan.

Okay because i assumed you were talking about the History when you said a rebellion.  Cheesy

Well that is a flaw in the game. How can you have a huge army but can only research one tech ........ well this is one of the many great games that are yet to come. laugh

Our Movement to Victory

September 23, 1565

Today we march. Currently I am transporting troops to Toyagasaki castle, after I will join the battle. The officers advancing on the Soma are Mitsurugi Orimoto leading 9,000 troops, Mitsumune Orimoto leading another 9,000, and finally Akiyoshi Kashiyama along with Hirotsuna Utsunomiya and Shigenobu Muyari leading 7,000 troops. I have not yet ordered the attack on Yamagata castle for the Date are still deployed there attacking the Mogami.

What News

October 1, 1565

I have heard the most laughable report ever on the attack on Soma. The Soma was to attack the Date with such a force that they were a threat, but when they spotted my army they ran away like a dog with its tail between his legs. Although that is humorous I still need to destroy them. I have marched out of Toyagasaki castle with 9,000 troops now the Soma will wet themselves at the sight of our glorious Generals, Officers and Army.

The Battlefield

November 7, 1565

It has been a long time since I was in a battlefield but i am still destroying these weak troops of the Soma as if I grew up in a battlefield. I can see all of my men fighting like demons with such ferocity in the battlefield without showing any mercy and the Soma army falling before us from every angle. The Soma refuse to bow down before my army but my officers are making sure they bow down. Our cavalry is the mightiest in the North and maybe in all of Japan but for me to say that it is the strongest in all of Japan we have to take down the Takeda’s cavalry.

Our Second Attack put Into Action

December 1565

I have just been informed that the Date has retreated from attacking the Mogami and my retainers are attacking the Mogami clan as I write. Our clan knows no boundaries. By the end of this year I will have gained two castles. Chikanobu Kasai are watching over us and protecting us. These attack are to honor their names.

also, i suppose u still have to take out uesugi. they are quite an awesome cavalry force also.
