well the dumbest thing the AI has ever done that i have seen would be in the Yellow turban rebellion scenerio Liu Yan disolved it's allience with ding Yuan and attacked Xiang Ping. While marching on it's way to the city Gongsun Zan disolved his allience with Liu Yan and attacked his units that were targeting Xiang Ping. Then awhile later Ding Yuan attacked Liu Yan and was defeated. laugh

None other than sending 3 ram units without escort and so. Or sending few troops with crappy generals to invade you. Once Liu Bei invaded Jiang Zhou with 6000 pike led by sun qian then after he was crushed he sends xiang lang with 5000 horses.

Well don't expect Liu Bei to be a great leader as he marched his soldiers to their deaths at the battle of Yi Ling and being outnumbered. laugh

YES, I like your way of thinking, my friend. Post your wise thought at the historical forum section  Grin

Taking that aside, all of the AIs did that  Wink

Having established a sizeable presence in Wan, I watched as Cao Cao defeated Dong Zhuo at Luo Yang.  He had maybe 8,000 troops defending the city.  I had 50,000+.  What does Dong Zhuo do?  He marches unit after unit towards Wan and completely ignores the chance to reclaim Luo Yang.  I think Zhuo lost about 70,000 troops to my 5,000 or so. Yes the smart AI. Wink

(Advanced)After the AI captured one of my harbour with 6000 men. I sent two bow-units to burn them out. In the next round the AI sent only 3000 two attack my units, the rest sleeps in the harbour and waiting for a grilling death. Stupid Huh

to Looknohands post.

Dong Zhou is one of the stupid guys i ever seen, but Yuan Shao is simply a little bit better.

Clash at Guan Du. I controll Cao Cao and was specialist in bowtactics.
Pu Yang and Chen Liu was contolled by me and some other cities too. I only defended me.
Little waves of Yuans army rolls to Guan Du and were destroyed by my brave units. So Yuan wanted to attack Pu Yang and the harbour Dun Qiu.
He sent more then 200000 men to capture Dun Qiu and Pu Yang. I build a drumplattform and my special bowmen Cao Xiu, Li Dian(S), Cao Pi(S), Man Chong (S), Xiahou Yuan, Zhao Yun and otherones destroyed them all. I got more the 5 officers which a coming to S by using bowtactics against Yuan.
The only think i have done was the recruit, drill and outfit. Really boring after a while.

The AI is unbelivable stupid.  Cry

Dumbest thing is the AI forces near southern most cities running out of gold to pay their officers, while their ports are filled with 10k golds each and they dont know how to transport. This happens most often with Sun Jian in the All Heroes mode.

Yuan Shu and Sun Jian launched a joint campaign against my city of Jiang Xia from the direction of Shou Chun and Lu Jiang. from that direction as you approach Jiang Xia there is a small cliff like obstacle that divides the road into 2 paths. Combined they had at least 12 units and they sent more as the battle went on each unit having 5,000+ troops.

I had Zhang Liao and 2 other units (cumulatively having around 18,000 troops give or take some.) hold them on the southern path to protect my cities facilities (farms, markets, etc) since the road is very narrow and is next to the river. from the river I sent Ma Chao (he had some S ranking boat officer in his unit) and one other unit with catapult equipped warships to attack the enemy from a distance on the water and weaken their front lines as they fought my land troops.

The northern path had nothing protecting it except i think 1 maybe 2 weak barriers and no traps. my city, Jiang Xia had less then 5000 troops in it and no physically capable officers or high INT strategists, If any enemy unit had gotten to it I would have had no choice but to abandon it.

NOT ONE ENEMY UNIT MADE ANY ATEMPT AT BYPASSING MY BLOCKADE BY GOING THE NORTHERN ROUTE. they backed themselves up like a traffic jam and could only fight my land troops 2 or 3 units at a time and they were being hampered by a Stone Sentinal Maze structure confusing one of those units a turn. They couldn't destroy it since one of units backing Zhang Liao repaired it every turn. but all they had to do was send a few units up the northern route and I would have been finished. But instead they let their units take turns to be killed by Zhang Liao and Ma Chao's significantly smaller force like lambs to a slaughter.

of course I've also had the classic send 1 or 2 weak units to attack a city with 50,000+ troops one at a time but we've all had that.

The three heroes swore an oath of brotherhood and also swore to die on the same day. Later they had weapons forged for them; Liu Bei got a pair of swords, Guan Yu got his Black Dragon Saber, and Zhang Fei fashioned himself an eighteen foot serpent spear.

Liu Bei: Don't you think that weapon is bit long?

Zhang Fei: What do you mean?

Liu Bei: I mean, I know range is important, but, geez.

Yuan Shao sending a transport unit with about 20000 troops and plently of supplies, with Xun Yu who had a loyalty of about 78. Best employment i've made, it help me crush Yuan's three cities in one fell swoop.

I was invading Wan using Liu Bei as my ruler. The AI came out of their city to defend against me using a sword unit when they had bows, horses, and spears in the city’s inventory. That was really amusing and it only happened to me once, thankfully.

Always attacking my cities with five or four units. It never matters who they are they always end up losing. The AI really need to be corrected in the next game. Most of the time I play all kingdoms just to make it better challenging.
