Kitabatake(Spelling?) I find going to war with the Oda off the back a real challenge... (after Yoshimoto dies that is) With my CAW, it's very challenging holding the Oda muskets off. With Tokugawa helping the Oda, the odds are really against me,  aren't they? 

After all, the more the odds are stacked against you.....

if i play as oda, the kitabatake is the first clan i take out. and generally it is quite an easy victory. aided by the fact that, the kitabatake usually try to take out kumano port in the first couple of years and leave themselves very weak. it would be interesting to see how u fare.

himy favourite clan wud be the oda and hashiba clan plus you know how dw is based on the novel romance of three kingdoms well i was wonderin is ther a novel that sw is based on?

It's gathered from all sorts of historical documents and records of that time period, of which there are numerous pieces still existing today.

There are some books and novels that are about that time period, some fictional and some non, but I don't believe NA is based on any of them.

There are some books and novels that are about that time period, some fictional and some non, but I don't believe NA is based on any of them.

guess the closest would be taiko by eiji yoshikawa. lot of the stuff in the book happens in nait.

Actually, I have the Oda on the ropes now... They're quite strong and i agree with you Bandekar. The Kitabatake are gerenally weak, but if you can take(forgot the castle name) the castle to the north, build up there, than work on defenses. That's how i hold off... with a bunch of barracks(10-12) And a tad bit of luck comes in now    As if you war Kennyo... And the Miyoshi... Your screwed, I know, too many times that it happened to me. Just let them take hostages, i say.

maybe u r talking about tsutsui castle, if u r talking about defending against the miyoshi and honganji. it is always good to see a weak clan give it their all. but i think once u get a couple of castles u r in business. good luck.
my best game was playing as hashiba after honnoji. the oda are still very strong after the incident but led by hidenobu and they are allied with the tokugawa so they can always channel their energies at you. was good to beat them and unify after that.

I believe that's the castle! But i agree with you, besides this, my most challenging game was playing the Hashiba/Toyotomi against the Shimazu... I kept getting pounded by their muskets(Blast their special tech, what's the experrsion?[Sp?] "Lambs to the slaughter" i think... that was what my whole army was until i overwhelmed with 3-1 odds) After that, i am not going to war the Shimazu if they get their special tech, Way too strong for me if i'm fighting on two fronts.

Mine is Oda and CC forces. I saw that Takeda, Tokugawa, Uesugi, Hojo, and Shimazu was an awesome clan, but i see that i don't like them neither one of those, even when i manage to beat the game with those clan. This is weird  .
