I really agree with you that we'd definitely need historical, political, geographical and military accuracy and precision about the ancient Three Kingdom Period of China here. I'd also like to put my supports of emphasis here as well, please.

If only we've got wikipedia or any other historical encyclopedia handy.... Sad Embarrassed Lips Sealed

Thanks, bye!  Wink

Finally, I've decided to make an account on this forum, because I've been putting it off since forever and finally decided to ding myself in Sad With that being said I seriously hope RTK12 finally puts in the complete map of the game.

That's been my biggest gripe from game 2, game 1 had ironically the most complete map, and I know that sounds odd for most people but by 220 AD Sun-Wu had territory all the way down in current Vietnam and Cao-Wei had lands in current day North Korea, not to mention the original Han territory going from Wu Wei on west of the land based Silk Roads. Yes, they were lower population, but a lot of the main cities aren't even in the game. Like Yingchuan which was located north of Ru nan, what about Hong Nong, Xincheng, and Henan, all located south of Luo Yang and major points in the book.

My second biggest gripe....where are the lakes? There are 4 major lakes in Southern China and they played a part in the naval and land battles, so I would hope they get included in some ways.

I would also hope with 12 they bring back population into the equation and strategy, as so far it seems with 11, which I do love, is nothing more than a spam the recruit and train keys with this endless amount of population supply to give you more troops.

So here's to hoping they go out with a big one with 12 and give us a lot of whats missing, but I doubt its coming any time soon with their RTK MMO in Nihon going on right now.

I'd also honestly like to see an extensive encyclopedia of the Three Kingdom Period built-in within the RTK 12, because none of the previous games have done extensive researches on maps, locations, and characters, so I need to see them realized asap, please. All of these application should utilize the great features of PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 asap, please.

Thanks, bye!  Wink

The lack of communication on whether they have plans to release rotk XII or not is starting to seriously irritate me.

We have been speculating like for 3 years now and now one at Koei even bother posting one sentence on this subject.

I am not bying any other koei release unless someone shows me a little respect.

This is a good idea very much so, because the people are the blood of any nation.

Are you also saying that you might be able to have a fictional scenario, where you might be able to actually set up the scenario within a clean slate, like all the territories open, and then you can decide the year and create the events that occur? Is that what you mean by fictional scenarios?

My thought echoes exactly with your question as well. I'd really like to set up a brand-new force in many free cities, such as Jiang Zhou, An Ding, Yong An, Shang Yong, or perhaps, by seizing famous cities, such as Chang An, Luo Yang, Pu Yang, Chang Sha, or Ye, please.

Thanks, bye!  Wink

Just wanted to add my 2 cents on this issue. Like the series of ROTK last one I played was on the PS2. I'm looking forward to playing one on the PS3. Been playing this series for a longtime now. If it is PS3 with online capabilities thats cool but if not I fine with that too as all the others were not and I enjoyed them a lot. ROTK is problably my favorite RTS game I have played so been waiting on another one. I have tried other RTS games but have yet to find one with the in-dept micromanging, tactical, and strategy of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. So make one for the PS3 in english if you would. Just by reading these post (If you are) you have notice that there are many players waiting on ROTK myself included. So if you make it sure you be able to sell it.

In fact, some might say it's TBS. Just some though.

RTS = Real Time Strategy

TBS = Turn Based Strategy

Now you know Cheesy

Also, on the note of the depth of micromanagement, I pray they dont dumb it down for the casual gamer again... bring back the complicated strategy, let me burn my enemies food, let me kill the messenger, let me flee when my final city falls!

Ohhh the meticulous planning of it all...

Although it doesn't count for much, my opinion is this ... Koei should just continue to make ROTK ad infinitum. It's obviously got a good fan base that has been buying ROTK each time they come out with a new one. It just seems like a cash cow you can milk forever. Even if they don't come out with new additions to the series, they could go back and update old parts and people would probably still buy them. It could be the exact same game, but with updated graphics and able to run on a PC or PS3 and I'd buy Parts VII, IX, and X again just so I don't have to worry about how I'm going to play them when my PS2 finally dies.

We are all waiting for ROTK 12 for the next gen consoles.  I can feel frustration from the members for waiting so long.  Hopefully Koei can too!

Until we get a ROTK 12 for our next gen consoles in the North American and Europe Market, I suggest we keep making noise!
